Boracay: Romantic Island

My sister and I went to town earlier to have our nails done but before we reach our destination, we decided to check what is new on the movie rack. One movie caught my attention. It was a Korean movie actually but it has an English subtitle. I love Korean movies and TV series actually.

The title of the movie was "Romantic Island" and guess what, the movie was shoot in Boracay island in Caticlan, Philippines. I was surprised when I actually saw the Manila airport, the Pinoy taxi driver and other cast who are also Filipinos.

Whew! I remember someone when I was watching the movie. My old friend celebrated his New Year in Boracay island on his first visit in the Philippines. Anyway, the cast of the movie celebrated Christmas and New Year in Boracay. Sigh, I just love the place and I am very much eager to go there now.

Koh Samui Island In Thailand!

My friend Willem who is in Holland right now told me that he is heading to Samui Island in Thailand. So, I made my research about the island and I found out that Samui Island third largest island of Thailand after Phuket and Coh Chang.

I its one of the most popular destinations for travelers. In recent years it was developed to a tropical beach resort but still maintained its charm and has everything to offer - from coconut tree fringed beaches to tropical jungles to a vibrant nightlife. Popular beaches are Chaweng, Lamai, Bophut & Maenam.

Wow! Night life! No wonder he keeps coming back to Thailand! hehehehe! But anyway, he said he really likes Thailand because of the food, people and I didn't ask for more!lolz

Boys II Men Live In Cebu City!

I am such a fun of Boyz II Men even before when I was still working in the radio station. I used to play their songs like Bended Knees, End of the Road, 4 Seasons for Loneliness and the One Sweet Day with Mariah Carey.

This is not the first time of Boyz II Men here in the Philippines actually. They have been here few times to serenade the Filipinos'. Whew, I was thinking of watching the concert if it's on August but it will be tonight. They will sing their greatest hits live at the Araneta Coliseum and will be going to Cebu City on the next day for their concert at the waterfront hotel.

I bet this is a world tour for Boyz II Men.

Famous Tarsier in Bohol !

The Philippine tarsier, (Tarsius syrichta) is very peculiar small animal. In fact it is one of the smallest known primates, no larger than a adult men's hand. Mostly active at night, it lives on a diet of insects. Folk traditions sometimes has it that tarsiers eat charcoal, but actually they retrieve the insects from (sometimes burned) wood. It can be found in the islands of Samar, Leyte, Bohol, and Mindanao in the Philippines.

I have actually seen them in Bohol when my friend Willem and I went there once. We bought couples of Tarsier stuff toys as present to our friends.

Can you see those big eyes? Their eyes are really enormous. In volume, the capacity of the bony eye orbits, or eye sockets, is larger than that of the brain case, and also larger than its stomach. Their eye sockets have post-orbital closure rather than the postorbital bar of the prosimians. This feature keeps the eyeballs from being pressed against by the powerful temporal muscles to their sides.

If you want to see them live, maybe you can plan a trip to Bohol. There are a lot of tourist destination in this beautiful island.

Bohol Adventure!

Bohol is a famous and attractive province in the Philippines. The province has beautiful beaches and enticing tourist destinations, which are widely visited by tourist and Filipinos. Another gem of the Visayas, Bohol’s historical significance extends way back to the blood compact between Boholano Chieftain Sikatuna and the Spanish conquistador, Miguel Lopez de Legaspi, in 1565.

Like the usual thing we do, we had day tour to all tourist spots in Bohol. We saw the oldest churches in Bohol, the statue of the blood compact, then we went to the place where you can find the famous Tarsier in Bohol and lastly, we went to the chocolate hills.

My friend Willem @ the Chocolate hills.

This one was taken on our way to the Chocolate Hills.

It Was My Birthday Yesterday!

It was my birthday yesterday, July 18 and I turn 30! Since I did not celebrate it like the usual celebration at home. I decided to take my whole family to dine at Grab a Crab. We ordered like 7 dishes that makes us leave with a heavy stomach. Lolz

As soon as we arrived home, I bought a case of beer and had a drinking session with my sister Xeria and Jim. I was wide awake til 1am this morning..lolz but the two can't cope up with me so, they sleep early. I am the true Drunken Master. hehehe

Anyway, I don't know if I'm ok or not but I am just glad I don't have to think much last night because I was drunk.lolz

Happy Birthday To Me....

I Am Saving For A Big Trip!

I have been so depressed and upset that I wanted to leave the house soon. But since I have been spending too much, I can't leave soon. Now, I am saving for a big trip that I will make sure it will happen sometime next month and if not maybe on September.

I always wanted to go to Boracay, hmmp, Bora wait for me...hehehe

Puerto Princesa, Palawan

Puerto Princesa is known for its many dive sites and wonderful beaches. Accommodations and dining in the city are reasonably priced. I have been there once with my friend Willem. That was 2 years ago I think if I'm not mistaken.

Puerto Princesa City, the capital of Palawan, is a first class city in the Philippines. According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 210,508 people in 33,306 households. It is famous for its crocodile farms, underground rivers and dive spots. It is also the largest city in the Philippines in terms of total land area. Well, we went to the crocodile farm and had a day tour at the island. Island hopping whole day!

This is my friend Willem!

I Need a Vacation!

Can you still remember when was the first time you took a plane?
I can still recall, I was in elementary that time.
We used to go back in back to Manila because of my grandparents.
We visit them every summer. Good thing everything was cheap that time even air fare.

My birthday is coming so soon and I really think I need a get away.
After all I have been through, I deserved a treat!
Beach maybe or another trip to Cebu, Palawan and Bohol?
Baguio will do or maybe I can go back to the place I always go when I feel alone!
Lingayen is a perfect place to hide!
Beach infront of the Inn.

This is what I need! A peaceful place away from everything.
I miss cebu pacific. I always used their service every time I travel.
They take me to my destination safe.
They took me to KL once...hehehe

I just checked the July 18 date Gensan to Manila but its fully booked.
hmmp, i will try my best to save for my plane ticket and I promised myself a vacation!
